This year for New Years we headed down to St. George for the weekend with our friends the Robins. It was kind of a last minute decision but we were glad to get away for a weekend before Adam has to start school again. I got off work early Friday and we drove the 4 hours down there. The Robins were already there so we met up with them for dinner at a Japanese Steakhouse. It was yummy!
My mom bought Brooklyn a cute New Years onsie. It was perfect for her to wear on New Years Eve.
Saturday we went to Fiesta Fun and played all day. We went on the go-karts a few times, played mini golf and played in the arcade. It was a blast! Adam also played a little in the batting cages and Adam and Allen had a fierce game of mini golf that Allen won at the last second. We ended the night at the traditional Ichiban's buffet for dinner. A St. George tradition.
After we got home from dinner the kids went downstairs and watched a movie and the adults stayed up stairs for a movie. We bought a few fireworks to light off before the movies. At midnight we stopped our movie for a little sparkling cider, and we watched some fireworks outside the window. And of course a kiss from my sweetheart!
Sunday was the most relaxing day ever. We seriously just lounged around all day, I read a whole book, lots of naps and movies. It was divine. And the other thing the guys did all weekend was play Bop It Bounce. It was so funny watching them play.
We left Monday morning to head home. Of course we had to stop at the cheese factory on the way home and get some curds. Yum!
It was a fun little getaway and a great start to the new year. I think 2012 is going to be a great year!

I love that new years onesie, she's darling!!
