Brooklyn - 6 Months

 Miss Brooklyn is 6 months old as of January 28th. She seriously gets more and more fun each day as her little personality develops and she learns new things. We love having her in our family and we can't get enough of her. Usually after we put her down for bed we go in to look at her multiple times and then we look at pictures of her before we fall asleep:)

Here are Brooklyn's stats at six months old:


Weight: 16 lbs. 5 oz., 49th percentile
Height: 26.5 in, 75th percentile
Head Cir.: 17.3 in, 87th percentile

Here are a few things I want to remember about Brooklyn at 6 months old:

• January 9th she rolled from her back to her stomach for the first time. 
• January 22nd she got her first little tooth.
• She has tried bananas, sweet potatoes, and pears along with little tastes of mom and dad's food. And who knows what else her aunts and uncles have been feeding her. I heard she really likes ice cream.
• Still is a great sleeper. Usually at least 10 hours each night. Goes to bed about 8:30 and wakes up at about 6:30 for a bottle then it's back to sleep for another hour.
• Rolls and scoots all around the house and we find her in the funniest positions in her crib each morning.
• Size 2 diapers.
• 6-9 month clothes.
• She is packing on the pounds and the chub mostly goes to her cheeks. They are huge!
• She is getting better with the bath. We have to slowly ease her into the water and have plenty of toys to distract her. And Daddy has to give her a bath because she just screams at the top of her lungs when I give her a bath.
• Still loves sitting up and being able to see everything that is going on. She mostly plays in her saucer or we sit her in her high chair with lots of toys and let her watch us cook or whatever else we are doing. 
• She hates when we ignore her. If she can't see us anymore she squeals until we come back by her. She hates being left out.
• She is awesome at sitting up on her own now. She loves to sit up on the ground and play with her toys.
• Loves watching Baby Einstein. In the mornings we usually turn it on with our phone and let her watch it while we get ready for the day. Her favorite is the little blue puppet. She always laughs every time he comes on.
• She grabs anything in her reach and immediately puts it in her mouth. We have to be careful what we put close to her.
• Loves her binky. She cannot fall asleep with out it.
• One of her favorite toys is her little sock monkey we got her for Christmas. She laughs so hard when we put it in her face.
