The Oakley Rodeo

Every year my Grandpa Egbert buys tickets to the Oakley Rodeo for my dad's whole side of the family. It is so much fun and we look forward to it every year. We also always have a tailgate dinner before the rodeo in the parking lot with lots of yummy food. I think my favorite part of the rodeo is the bull riding and barrel racing and of course the fireworks at the end. It's so much fun to just sit at the rodeo with all of our family, pass treats around and enjoy the show.
After the rodeo all of my immediate family stayed up at Grandpa's cabin in Oakley for the night. We always love going up to the cabin. We had fun star gazing at night, staying up late talking, eating far too much food, shooting guns, and taking much need naps. It was a great start to the 4th of July weekend.
