Cruise Day 1: Leaving Miami

Monday, July 5th
Monday morning we caught a ride on the free shuttle to the Miami port. I love pulling up to all of the huge cruise ships so excited to start your journey. Our ship was the Carnival Imagination.

We got in line, took an illegal picture in the customs line and finally got boarded on the ship.

We had about an hour before we could get into our room so we hit the buffets. We got lots of yummy food and just hung out by the pool and on the balcony.

We of course had to take a picture of Adam acting like Horatio from CSI: Miami. We love the show but think Horatio is the worst actor ever.

We were finally able to go into our room so we went and unpacked all of our stuff. The first cruise we went on we just left all of our stuff on the ground in our suit cases so this time I wanted to be a little more organized this time and but all of our stuff in the cupboards and drawers. Much more organized and liveable.

We then headed to the balcony to watch the ship leave the port. I think it is so cool watching such a huge ship start up and take off. It was fun watching as the ship traveled down the coast in Florida. It was gorgeous!!

That night at dinner we went all of our table friends. We had a table with 5 couples including us. They were all really nice and we had fun visiting with them each night. At dinner each night all of the waiters would do a dance for us. It was so funny! I got the chocolate melting cake for dinner and fell in love with it.

Later that night we went to the welcome aboard show. They had dancing and singing and a really funny comedian. We thought it was pretty good.

We tried to end our night with a hot tub dip but just as we got there they were closing the hot tubs for the night. Bummer, but we did get some ice cream before we went to bed.
