In November Brookie started getting sick while Adam was out of town hunting. I did my best to take care of her but by the time Adam got home she was so much worse. We knew she had croup because of the way her cough sounded. Adam sat out in the freezing cold with her to help her breather a little better. It worked for a little while and then it just seemed that she was barely breathing and nothing was helping her. Her face go so splotchy and she looked like she was about to pass out. Late Sunday night we decided to finally take her to the ER. We were pretty worried about her and Adam drove pretty fast to the hospital. When we got there they rushed her back and got her on oxygen and then started giving her breathing treatments. They had to give her 3 treatments before she was doing better. We ended up having to stay all night and get checked into a room at the hospital so they could observe her. By the morning she was doing so much better. It was pretty scary there for awhile but we are so glad we decided to take her to the ER. The doctor said she needed the breathing treatments and she would have not gotten better without them. It took her another week to fully get better.
