We decided it was time to finally make Brooklyn sleep in her own bed each night. She had been just making a bed on the ground next to our bed each night. She kept telling us it was scary and she didn't want to. So one night we just went for it and did not give into to her pleadings. The crying and coming out of her room lasted about 2 hours but then she finally fell asleep. I did have to leave the light on in her bedroom that first night. The next night it only took about 20 minutes before she was asleep. Now she is to the point where some nights she goes to bed with no problem and other we have to stay with her for about 10 minutes or so. But we still are suckers and let her sleep in our room every now and then.
She said it was too dark in her room so I took her to Target and she picked out a night light. Of course she chose the pink one. We also told her that if she slept in her bed she could go ride the horse with Carter. So one night we took her and Carter to the mall and they got to ride the merry-go-round. She was in heaven!
