Hawaii Day 2 | Maui

August 18th | Maui

Day 2 we took a long drive on the Road to Hana. We first stopped and got some warm malsadas which was something I couldn't wait to have again in Hawaii.
▲▲▲We stopped at a little lookout point at the beginning of our drive and the view was gorgeous!
▲▲▲We are so glad we had the convertible for this drive. The distance is only about 60 miles but it takes you about 3-4 hours to get there because the road is so windy and the speed limit is slow and a lot of places there is only a one lane road or bridge (I think there are 52 bridges on the road). We also stopped a few places. The surroundings are gorgeous. Everything is so lush and green. It was taking our breath away.
▲▲▲The convertible we rented for our stay on Maui.
▲▲▲Adam was a little crazy and got really close to the edge of the waterfall. It was freaking me out.
▲▲▲We stopped in Hana at Hana Bay and ate our bento boxes that we brought with us.
▲▲▲Instead of turning around and going back the same way we came we went the other way on a road that is closed a lot of the time. It was open for us and it had a lot different scenery that the first part of our drive. I think the drive there and back took us a total of 8 hours. It was crazy but also so fun to see so much of Maui.
▲▲▲We stopped on the way home and got Guri Guri. It was one of Ton's favorite ice creams. It is kind of an ice cream, sorbet, but really smooth and creamy. It was really good.

We were all pretty exhausted by the end of the night from such a long drive. We went to dinner at this yummy little sushi place and called it a night.
