Ragnar

I don't think I ever posted about Adam running the Ragnar. Or, almost running the Ragnar. The Ragnar race started on June 21st. So the night before everyone (Adam, Danny, Liz & Katie) packed up all of their stuff and decorated their van. The next morning they woke up early to drive up to Logan to start the race. My mom and dad both got up early with the team and made sure they had everything they needed and said goodbye.

Everyone in their van all ran their first leg of the race and it was finally Adam's turn. He was the last runner in their van. Just a few miles into his run was when we were finally able to get a hold of  everyone in the van. They had been in a dead spot for cell service so we could get a phone call to any of them. My mom spoke to Liz first and told her that my dad had passed away a few hours before. Katie and Danny were standing by her and were told the news too. They had just seen Adam moments before because they had given him water. So Danny ran as fast as he could to catch up to Adam and tell him the horrible news. They all immediately hopped in the car and got home as quickly as they could. It still took them about 2 hours to get home because they were so far away.

Unfortunately they were not able to finish the race. They each had 2 more legs to run. Ragnar has been so nice to let their team run free next year since they did not get to finish this year.
