We are officially all moved out of our townhouse and it is no longer
ours:( It is such a bittersweet feeling. We loved that house so much and
have so many great memories in it. It was the first house we owned and
the house that Brookie lived in when she was first born. Not to mention
all of the amazing friends and neighbors we made there. I cried a few
times about moving but mostly we are just excited. Excited for our next
adventure and to have a new house with a backyard!
We split up the moving into 2 Saturdays. The first Saturday we pack up
everything! Thanks to Katie and Danny for watching Brooklyn and my
parents and Sarah for helping us pack. We couldn't have done it without
you all. It was a little tough deciding which stuff to store and which
stuff to take to my parent's house.
The second Saturday was the big moving day. We got a 20 ft. container
for a really good deal. So all of our stuff will be stored in the
container for the next few months and then they will drop it off at our
new house. It made the move so much easier only having to load
everything once. We got donuts and drinks for everyone that came to
help. Thanks to my parents, Katie, Danny, Mark, Ben, Lindsay, Sean,
Scott and Katie for helping us move everything! And to Michelle for
watching Brookie all day! We had a little problem getting the basement
couches out of the basement and had to tear up the wall. We did the same
thing getting them in the basement. So we had to patch up the walls a
little bit:)
Little Carter came to help too but I'm pretty sure he was more of a distraction. He's just too cute!!
The next Monday we had a crew of us come over and clean the whole house.
It took us all night but it spotless after. We said one last goodbye to
our little house that night:(
This was probably one of the easiest moves I've ever done and it was
because we had so many friends and family come help. The whole process
was really smooth and fast, but I'm so grateful that it is over. We are
now all settled into my parent's house for the next few months. Now we
just need to finish picking out all of the stuff for our new house so
they can start building it. Yay!!
