Brooklyn - 9 Months

Brooklyn turned 9 months old on April 28th. I can't believe that she is already 9 months, the same amount of time that I carried her. It's really crazy to me. She has truly been such a fantastic addition to our family and we love every second we get to spend with her.

Here are Brooklyn's stats at nine months old:

Weight: 18 lbs. 5 oz., 35th percentile
Height: 28 in, 59th percentile
Head Cir.: 18.1 in, 92nd percentile

Here are a few things I want to remember about Brooklyn at 9 months:

• She is such a busy little girl. Never sitting still for more than a few seconds and always looking around for things she can get play with and get into.
• Still loves her binky. She always has to have one close by. When she's not sucking on it she is chomping on it on the side of her mouth.
• Has 3 teeth. Her bottom 2 middle ones and her top side left one. 
• She always has her little tongue sticking out of her mouth no matter what she is doing. I think at first she was feeling her tooth on the side of her mouth but now she has a habit of sticking it out. It's pretty cute!
• This girl loves food of any kind. If she sees food she will do anything she can to get it, even if it means throwing a tantrum.
• Her little personality is really starting to show. She knows what she wants and she lets us know it.
• Overall she is a very good tempered baby and easy going. She makes being her parents very easy.
• She still sleeps through the night every single night. This makes me very happy! She usually goes to bed about 8:30 pm and wakes up at 7:30 am.
• Wears 9 month clothing and size 3 diapers.
• Says dada and mama. (sadly she starting saying dada first)
• Crawls everywhere. Which means we really have to watch her every second.
• Can pull herself up and stand up on the side of the couch or coffee table or anything she can grab onto. It's so cute seeing her stand up like a big girl.
• Has the cutest little laugh. Usually her dad can get her to laugh the hardest.
• It's a lot more difficult to take pictures of her. She will not sit still and look at the camera. And she will crawl away after 2 seconds.
• We've been spending a lot of time outside with the warm weather and I'm not so sure that she likes grass. She sits perfectly still with a serious face and won't touch it at all.
• Lifts her arms up when she wants to be held.
• Is usually standing up in her crib talking when I go to get her in the morning.
• Loves to open and shut doors. She will just sit next to the door swinging it back and forth and laughing.
• Her hair is getting blonder but is still kind of a dirty blonde color. And it's long enough to do a little pony tail on top.
• Very good at entertaining herself if you give her a bucket of toys to play with.
• Got her first fever last month of 102 degrees. It was so sad but a little Tylenol brought it right down.
• The most beautiful baby every (at least in our opinion). Sometimes we just stare at her and wonder how we got such an amazing little baby.
