Christmas Eve

We had such a great Christmas Eve and it was a much needed day off work. We actually got to sleep in and enjoy the morning together. We couldn't wait till the next day to open presents so we each gave each other one gift we could wear on Christmas Eve. Adam gave me a sweet white watch and I gave him a new shirt. It's so much fun surprising each other with gifts. Then, we have a tradition where every Christmas Eve we go and shop for each other's stocking stuffers. So we went to the store and split up and spent a while deciding what to get each other. It was so much fun!

Later on that evening we went to Draper Rehab and visited some of the elderly people that get lonely during the holidays. It's become a tradition in my family and we've been going every Christmas Eve for a few years now. This year my sister's boyfriend and his family came along with us as well. My sister Katie works at Draper Rehab so she know all of the residents and introduced us to them all. We brought reindeer ears and other treats to share with them all.
When we got there another family was singing Christmas carols and they invited us to come sing with them. Adam went up and sang with them but no one else followed him so he was up there all by himself. I was just laughing at him. You can see him in the picture below:

We had a lot of fun visiting with everyone there. There were some pretty funny people. One guy kept grabbing everyone's butt as they walked by and another lady just followed us around the whole time. I hope all of the residents enjoyed it as much as we did. Here are some of the residents with their reindeer ears on:
After we were done visiting we went to dinner with everyone that came to Mimi's Cafe. It was such a great time!

Then we went home and got ready for Christmas Day. We got all the presents out and filled up our stockings.
We didn't have time to buy new pajamas so we just reused our pajamas from last year. Sarah and Branden came over for a bit Christmas Eve and brought us some sparkling white grape juice so we ended the night with a little bubbly. So delicious!

Then we fell asleep to Christmas movies. It was a great Christmas Eve!
